The Berkeley Jefferson Extension Master Gardener program is an educational program designed to meet the horticultural needs of the citizens of West Virginia. Extension Master Gardeners are volunteers who represent the West Virginia University Extension service. BJEMGA offers a $500 scholarship to a student in the two-year AgriBusiness program. Scholarship Award is to be equally divided between the fall and spring semesters
CRITERIA:
- Applicant must have completed one year of the two-year program
- Applicant must maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average
- Applicant must show financial need
- Applicant must reside in Berkeley or Jefferson County.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
- Applicant must complete Blue Ridge CTC Foundation Scholarship application
- Applicant must submit a brief (200-word maximum) statement about his/her interest in horticulture
- Applicant must agree to attend the BJEMGA fall luncheon to be introduced to the membership
